I had this patient yesterday that I treated ..he told me he's been married to his wife Jeanne for 56 years. I asked him what advice he could give to a girl like me about marriage..( Not like I'm getting married anytime sooner..LOL). I said Compromise? and he said that the word compromise doesn't even come to mind. He said, " whatever was important to my wife..I also made it important to me"....that made me smile..

I'm back from the PI..and I had a lot of wonderful experiences. I got to know my cousins as adults after not seeing them 20+ years and played with my nieces and nephews. I met tons of relatives of course. I learned how to make and decorate a sponge cake from my cousin who makes cakes/pastries for a living. I sang karaoke/videoke like there was no tomorrow..even sang Beyonce's Irreplaceable :). I drank Red Horse Extra Strong Beer wtih my cousins. I went jetskiing with the cousins in Boracay. I hung out in a bahay kubo. . I saw my lolo's farm in the barrio. I have seen a lot of goats. I have also seen mango trees over there too.

Still recovering from jetlag

My newest addiction is playing Rockband off the XBOX...I've done the singing..even though I don't really know a lot of songs...learning tho....advanced to medium on the bass and guitar. I finally tried the drums..I really love it..it is so fun..although I hate doing the pedal..cuz I'm not coordinated witht the pedal yet....I'm still on Easy ..however getting used to it.

I wonder at times what stage I'm at with the person I am dating right now. Technically, we are still dating....but sometimes I think we already act like gf/bf. I really don't know because the first and last real relationship I had was like 8-9 years ago. One time we had a conversation in the car and he said there was no one else he was dating..and I said the same...and so the conversation went on to something else. What do people really say to define the relationship? Do I need to initiate it or does the guy have to? I'm clueless .LOL. He's really great. I love hanging out with him. He's treats me well, makes me laugh with his twisted humor, enjoys music as much as I do..if not more, plays the piano/sings, etc etc.

My vacation dilemma is finally over. I made calls to HR regarding my situation and they were able to grant the 3 weeks because my boss authorized it. I am disappointed in my boss though because she didn't admit that she made a mistake that she gave me wrong information on the policy and then passed off the blame on me that I should have know the policy because it was in the employee manual. Why the hell did you she authorize it in the first place? Shouldn't she have know the policy as well when she authorized it? She seemed pretty confidenty in July when she made her decision and didn't refer to the manual. I'm just glad that it's over because I was really stressed about it and I thought I was almost going to pull out of the whole vacation and maybe lose money on any decision I made.
